Blue Bardot is a music blog that seeks to introduce Russian music to English speakers. Up until recently, finding music from Russia while living in the US was virtually impossible if one didn?t have a direct source. Even then, these sources (family, specialty stores) would only provide a limited selection of what was actually available. Even the internet didn?t provide substantial respite from the slavic sonic drought. It wasn?t until music streaming services like iTunes and Spotify which began to bridge the gap on a massive scale, that Russian music, in all its genres, had the ability to be found and listened to by English speakers. However, one still first had to find it and know about it before it could be found
