We are an unincorporated group of live-music-loving Baby Boomers known as ‘Friends of the Blues.’ Our goal is enjoying top quality, national and international touring artists ‘at home’. That is accomplished by bringing bands to our area on a weeknight for an ‘early show’ (7:00 PM) with a Master of Ceremonies, prizes, and fun. Originally, The Friends of the Blues came from mainly the Illinois counties of: Kankakee, Champaign, Cook, Ford, Grundy, Iroquois, Livingston, McClean, Vermillion, and Will.
