In 2005, Czarina Mirani and Terry Matthew founded 5 Magazine to share the music we love: dance music, house music, the music of Chicago?s clubs and nightlife. 5 Magazine began as a local print publication (monthly in print and mostly black and white). Our first issue featured Chicago loft hero Lgo. Our third issue featured Cajmere and Dajae. Our fourth issue featured Frankie Knuckles ? the first of 5 issues in which Frankie Knuckles appeared on the cover. For 12 years 5 Mag remained in print, covering deep house, soulful house, techno, disco, tech house, ambient and every flavor of electronic music, with artists from around the world
